Di proposte di matrimoni particolari è pieno l’Internet, eppure ce n’è ancora qualcuna che riesce a stupirci ed emozionarci: è questo il caso della proposta fatta da Kody Workman, fotografo e blogger di viaggi, alla fidanzata Kelly Castille, con la quale condivide la vita e il lavoro (il loro profilo è  Positravelty), fatta sott’acqua, al largo delle coste della Giamaica.

Kody e Kelly, che hanno più di 200mila follower su Instagram, si trovavano in Giamaica proprio per lavoro e lui ha organizzato il tutto alla perfezione, convincendo la fidanzata che si sarebbero immersi per creare contenuti per il loro profilo: ad un tratto le ha presentato davanti agli occhi la fatidica scatolina con l’anello e la sorpresa di Kelly è stata evidente!

Come ha spiegato poi Kody ai suoi follower, non si è trattato solo di un modo spettacolare per chiedere la mano alla sua Kelly: il mare fa parte della loro storia, veramente romantica, fin dall’inizio. I due si sono conosciuti su una piccola isola caraibica tre anni fa: lui viveva e lavorava lì come istruttore subacqueo e barista in un ostello, lei è arrivata sull’isola come turista (qui puoi cenare come in un acquario!)

“Kelly è arrivata all’ostelllo il secondo giorno di quello che sarebbe dovuto essere un viaggio in solitaria di tre mesi, tra la fine di un lavoro e l’inizio di un altro. Da allora siamo stati insieme, non ha mai iniziato il suo nuovo lavoro e noi due abbiamo continuato a viaggiare”, ha raccontato Kody ” (…) abbiamo fatto tonnellate di immersioni e escursioni in apnea insieme in tutto il mondo, essere sott’acqua è qualcosa che amiamo e ci divertiamo entrambi, ed è anche qualcosa che usiamo molto nel nostro lavoro. Fare la proposta a Kelly in un’isola, sott’acqua, mi è sembrato giusto e una volta che abbiamo visto la grotta ho capito che era il posto giusto per noi”

Kelly ha raccontato invece di essere rimasta senza parole e di aver chiesto a Kody se fosse tutto vero una volta riemersi (come si vede anche dal video): “E’ stato il momento più speciale ed unico della mia vita e lo ricorderò per sempre!”
